I'm still fairly new to blogging but already it has been commented on how I'm always on my laptop or my mam constantly asks 'Are you okay?' as I stare at a screen in frustration, & if I'm being honest, I have been pretty hard on myself to say I've only had my blog a month..

Seaham Beach

The weather in the UK has been warm the past couple of weeks, so my boyfriend & I decided to make the most of it & in the most traditional way possible; we did this by going to the beach. I'm one of these that say "I can't wait for the warmer weather so I can get out and do more" when in reality I just stay in the house on my laptop or iPad just like I would if it was raining - so this was something for me, haha.

(apologies if you're one of the unlucky ones who have noticed how grown out and totally disgusting my acrylic nails are on this picture.. you'll be pleased to know they are no longer in tact.)
Seaham Beach Rocks
Side note: After devouring our ice-creams on wooden benches, Jack decided to go 'winkle-picking' (I still have no idea what this is) He didn't manage to pick any winkles, but seemed to enjoy his half hour pretending to be Bear Grylls climbing on rocks, haha.

I've felt so bad for missing a post date or not Instagramming enough lately, so I've been firing random stuff here there and everywhere trying to keep up appearances & I ended up disliking how my blog looked.

Admittedly, I was meant to put a post up on the day we went to the beach & I felt sort of guilty for missing it; but I reminded myself that the point of actually going out was for my boyfriend & I to enjoy ourselves and make the most of our time off work together; as we rarely get to. I shouldn't be bothered if my post goes up a day late.

I then realised, who's actually bothered if my post goes up a day late? The majority of bloggers will have been in the same position at some point so why should I punish myself for it?

I'm now posting as and when I feel like it and trying not to be so hard on myself. It's okay to have a day off from blogging and actually put the laptop down.

So far, I'm enjoying it a lot more and finding it much easier to write the posts I'm interested in.

Have you guys ever felt like this since starting to blog? Let me know - I'd love to hear from you :)
