6 WAYS TO GET OUT OF YOUR BLOGGING RUT

We're all guilty of getting stuck in a rut... I mean, I haven't blogged for months for this reason alone so I'm definitely one to talk. I felt uninspired and stuck on the same page. I've made a few changes and have found some new ideas that have got me back into blogging.

1) Get inspired!
I've looked at my favourite blogs again, scoured Pinterest, & re-read my favourite posts on my own blog.


2) Remember why you're doing, what you're doing.
When I started my first blog all of them years ago I did it so I could have my own say and have somewhere to express my thoughts on different beauty products - this is still the reason I blog and sometimes just need to remember that!


3) Go somewhere new.
I've recently returned from the most amazing two holidays in New York & Mexico. I've came home with a cleared head & I'm feeling motivated to get back into blogging.


4) Change things up.
The type of blog I started was themed around beauty and reviews and I thought I had to stick to this genre only. I've realised the type of posts I enjoy browsing the most these days are fashion related, so in the coming weeks/months I'll be incorporating my passion for fashion into new posts.


5) Don't be too hard on yourself.
.....maybe I've taken this one a little too far, seeing how my last beauty post was months ago. I think I went in too hard with my blog when I first started and piled pressure on myself to get posts up; once I'd done that I wanted to stop after feeling burnt out. 


6) Think of the bigger picture.
For me, I was thinking about how good it felt after posting and receiving my first comment saying that someone enjoyed my post. The more I think of that, the more it motivates me to carry on, stop feeling sorry for myself and get out of the rut I got myself in.


I'm glad to be back blogging and out of the rut I got myself into! Let me know if any of these suggestions help you guys.
